Tate Britain
Tate Britain houses the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day, including the Turner bequest in the Clore gallery. The Tate also has galleries in Liverpool and St Ives and on May 12th 2000, a new gallery, Tate Modern, opened in the redeveloped Bankside Power Station. This last houses the Tate's collection of international modern art from 1900 to the present and will also be a gallery for the 21st century, exhibiting new art as it is created. It is expected that Tate Britain and Tate Modern will be linked by a transport services including a shuttle bus and boat service.
