1547 Henry VIII's post mortem visit
Henry died at Whitehall and was to be buried at Windsor. The journey was broken so that the coffin lay at Syon overnight. In the morning attendants found that it had burst and dogs were licking at the remains. This fulfilled a prophecy made by one of the clerics evicted from Syon when the monastery was closed by Henry's reformation.
