A Middlesex Directory of this date lists the half-hourly service, throughout the day, by George Cloud's omnibuses from here at the George IVth pub for the 5-6 miles to central London. There were also three carriers daily to take goods into London. The services westward went to Brentford, Hounslow and Isleworth amongst other places.
