Like many now almost unnoticeable streams Beverley Brook has probably been a boundary marker for centuries. For a few hundred yards from this point and for several other stretches of its course, through Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common for example, it marks the present boundary between the London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond on Thames.
